cold air inductions
Jannetty ported throttle body
custom ground comp cam on the dreaded 111 lsa but im going for it.
comp valve spring kit 26926TS
Comp trunion kit 13702
Trick flow timing chain set tfs-30778536
BBK ceramic coated headers w/high flow cats 40210
Jannetty Tune

I wasn't going to spend $1500 for a set of headers and cats so BBK it is.
After i get it running I may take the three hour trip to Jannetty Racing and have him tune it on the dyno. I'd like to see what it really makes after all this work.

I'm not worried about my warranty, I dont like letting people touch my car anyway. If i need something important i got a friend who works at a chevy dealer.

My 2010 LS3 had yellow springs too. Replaced them with Comp Cams 26-918.

The spring color thing is strange. My 2012 had blue springs. I just sold them today. Don't throw your stock parts out. I've sold everything except the plug wires. Just thought I'd mention it because I had no idea the cam and springs would sell. Didn't get much, but enough to be worth packing & shipping them.

i'm wierd when it comes to my stock parts i save everything and i wont sell them. I grew up around car restorations and I remember always trying to find orginal parts for corvettes and other cars so i always keep my stuff.

Not weird at all. I thought seriously about doing that myself, then decided I would never put it back to stock anyway. I could get burned on the emission test, but I've been told by several people that the high flow cats will pass. Won't know about that until 2016, and then I might be wishing I had kept those parts.

By the way, I wish I would have had the guts to take on the cam install myself. When I saw how different this was from the old small blocks that I used to work on, I chickened out and paid to have it done. Your lucky to live so close to Jannetty Racing. I'm thinking of asking Ted if there is some way he can check the tune on mine just to double check it, but I sure can't drive there from Phoenix.

i wasn't worried about tearing into it , i just didn't like that you have to drop the oil pan to get the oil pump out. im fighting with this now. i can't get mine out. i got all the bolts out and the bolt out for the pickup tube and it still wont come out. its pissing me off. and after im done i will always be worried about the pan leaking.

yeah Jannetty is about 3 hours away so i'm going to do a day trip to him when im done. i also have east coast supercharging about 20 - 30 minutes away too.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Even though mine is done they have been real interesting. That tensioner is sure a cheesy looking thing. And good luck getting that oil pump pickup line back on. That's the thing that put me off from doing it myself.

yeah that tensioner is a real piece of shit. looked like it was going to break when i sqeezed it. I'll get the pump in somehow, might have to have my dad pry the pickup tube forward a tad while i try to get the bolt started.

Just in case you weren't aware of this already, but you will need to clearance your front cover after installing that timing set. You may also need to "adjust" the mounting legs on the oil pump pick-up to pull it forward enough to get it installed properly. Also recommend switching to a damper instead of that tensioner, especially with the double chain.
