I wonder if it's going to be held up due to the recall.
At least it's at 3800!

Hey mine to Brotha!! Awesome. I saw your post and called the toll free number and was told the car is built and ready to ship. I called my dealer he checked the workbench and yep code 3800 and gave me the vin #. Woo Hoo!!
I got a 2LT/RS so hopefully the recall wont effect the shipping.

I don't think the recall is going to have a major effect on the SS models. It seems like they caught it early and that is good.

Yours went 3300 the same time mine did...I wonder if mine was built today. I can't find out though because my "guy" is on vacation...and next week I'm away on vacation...

Now that's going to bother me until I get back Hehe. (But at least by then I should DEFINITELY have a VIN! *crosses fingers* )

One of the SS's that I am trying to get is at 3800 also. Only issue is they are holding SS models because of a draining battery.

Recall: They might of known of this earlier in production / took care of ours and just sending out recall notices now??

My car is at 3800 today - does that mean it might still have to go to the other side of the factory to get the stripes / Anyone know?

Highest # I saw on recall list was 6470. Only a few hundred were on the list, V8 only.

Mine all went to 3800 today

Spoke with my dealer as well regarding the recall. He stated that it is something that "should" be addressed either at the time of production while the car was on the line (given the timing of the recall) or during the QC period after production prior to shipping.

VIN # 7883
2SS/RS
6 speed Manual
Black/Grey

Congratulations,

3800 = one step closer to getting your car. But you still have to be patient.

At least you know she's out there.......somewhere.

Checked GM Workbench - Still at 3800

Just checked GM Workbench:

1. Still at 3800
2. We still haven't gotten the Invoice/Certificate of Origin
3. Getting antsy

I am losing my mind as well and its only been since Friday. Rallyman, is yours getting factory stripes or dealer installed? If factory stripes it could be possible that its just been bayed for that.... I am really wondering if they are backlogged processing the codes and they are farther along than we know. I am trying to convence myself of that maybe so I dont actually lose my mind. Then I see where vin 8907 has already been invoiced. What is going on? I wish there was some way of knowing. I know it is kind of self serving but I would love to plan a trip over memorial day but wont until I know if my car will get here.....Good luck
