Definitely looks like a cat to me. I can't tell from the pic, do you have O2 sensors after the "pipe that might be a cat"? If so, its a cat.

Wire hanger won't go past these. Fuzzy visual looks to be honey comb in the mirror.  I am confident these are catalytic converters. Thanks everyone for their replies!
