Dealer "premium" over MSRP?

I had inquired of several dealers in searching for an available car, and made a deal at MSRP.

One of the dealers I inquired of called me today to say he had the car I wanted on hand, for MSRP + $5000.

Anyone else out there running into same thing?

Mine is in transit to dealer. Feel lucky to get a 2012!

Most people on Camaro5 that have ordered or will purchase a ZL-1 refuse to pay over the MSRP. Now there are 1 or 2 that just don't care about the extra cost and are paying much more than MSRP.
As a community we tend to not support dealerships that mark up the camaros in anyway shape or form.
Congratz that you're getting a ZL-1, enjoy the ride and stay safe!

Don't pay a markup, these are great cars, there will be enough going around soon enough.

IMO these cars will depreciate much like any other car, maybe slower but still depreciate.
