The decision of whether I should take the '12 2SS I ordered, or wait for a 1LE, is getting a little more difficult.
Yeah, this is my concern too.. I am estimating the MSRP for a 2SS/RS 1LE will be around $45k or so but thats only a guess at this point.. Of course if you load it up with a lot of little options it could dramatically go up.. I put my limit at $46k so if its more than that I will probably stick to a 2SS/RS.. Or maybe a 2010 C6 GS.. tough call at the price range. I am thinking either the 1LE in VR or the 2SS with the BRM and white stripes..

So is there a chance they will release any new colors or do they only change one a year? Or is it set with what we've got now plus the new dusk blue?

I'm hoping for a different grey op for 2013.

Blue Metallic

Dear Camaro5,
What does this Blue Metallic color look like? Can someone post this? Will it be available on ZL1, SS?
Thank you

2 things:

If you don't like the black hood wrap take a blow dryer to it.

The 1le is just a package on a SS, so it is likely to have incentives on it that a ZL1
Wouldn't. I would think $2500-3k off msrp is doable, add incentives on top of that at some point in the model year and $4k off is a real possibility. Of course, if you order it then you will be at the mercy of what is available at the time it arrives t the dealership.

I'm sure that the exhaust and navigation would add $3000 to the price. I have a very well optioned 2SS RS ordered for $39,900. However, I would end up buying almost all of the 1LE equipment anyway. I also think that the 1LE will hold its value a little bit better than a 2SS RS. The thing that bothers me is potentially picking up the car in November or December. I don't want to pick the car up in crappy weather and then park it for 4 or 5 months. Decisions, decisions...

BTW, The hood is a wrap. Any decent body shop should be able to remove it easily.

I would think that you would get a better deal if you order a car. If a dealer orders one for their showroom, they might not deal on it until it's been sitting for several months.

THey need to clean up the center stack too and while they are at it lose the almost retro speedo and tac boxes( I did not care for them back in the 60s-70s)...move it all more toward a the vet dash and center stack...my 2..

If the mojave leather is the untreated leather like in the Ford king ranch, it will not age well at all...

1LE supension to a 2SS might be fun...though might be too much work if bushings are not the same...shocks and sway bars are easy...

I don't know why but I'd love for GM to maybe incorporate steering wheel contols for audio/volume on the back of the wheel in future models.

Post #63 in this thread is Blue Ray Metallic. If you want to see the Mojave interior color, look at the Dusk Camaro Concept or the 2014 Impala that was at Detroit. That car was Blue Ray with the Mojave leather.

Maybe by that time I'll be done with my college program. If all goes well, I'll be getting a blue ray and mojave SS.

You guys think they'll change the speakers too since Boston Acoustic no longer supplies auto applications? Or maybe that'll be a 2014 change?

Power door locks are on the door on 2012s as well. The power door lock remains on the head unit as well.

It doesn't intrude upon the driving experience like traction control or skip shift, it helps in an otherwise tricky and not favorable situation. Much like the automatic rev match on the 370Z, it's still a true manual, but the car automatically rev matches for you when down shifting. Do I enjoy rev matching myself? Absolutely. Would I mind if my car did it for me perfectly? Not at all! If you want to drive a "true" manual that you're in "TOTAL" control of, then go get a muscle car from the 60's or 70's. If you're referring to anything in this century, then stop complaining, cause you'll never have a car that you're 100% in control of any more, and I'm fine with that.
If you are burning up your clutch starting from a hill, I suggest you get an automatic because you don't know how to drive a stick. I can leave from a hill with a barely noticeable roll back and no clutch slipage. I am sure I am not the only one that can do this and I for one don't want or need any kind of hill assist. Make it an option so I can not order it.

Blue ray metallic may be an extra charge color. It is on the 2013 trucks.
