Removal of mail slot insert???

Have my car in the body shop getting striped. Wondering if anyone knows how to remove the black mail slot insert. Can this be done with the nose on or not. I am guessing they expect you to remove the front facia to remove the insert. But if anyone knows how to remove it without doing so could use some input. Thanks in advance

No need to take off the nose clip.
Wrap a pair needle nose pliers with a soft towel and it will pull right out.
I think there are 5 tabs holding it in.
Mine came out very easy.

Good luck with your stipes

Don't do it like this guy suggested unless you plan on never using it again (clips can break that way). Do it the right way and take off the black cover where the lower hood latch is i think its like 4bolts and 6 plastic ones then push the clips from the back and it will come right out
