Cool Graham..I can't wait for the results. This with long tubes and no cats test would be great too..(and then you would have a tune ready for me once I do these mods...heh heh)

All I can say is if that's all the mods it takes to run 130 mph trap speed.....this car truly is a monster. Imagine this.....the car wasn't even out yet when they ran this time....just wait until some other tuners get there hands in it. It's gonna be a beast

...you don't get to be #1 by resting on your laurel's, Lingenfelter is the best...I'd go to these guys first for anything.

K&N cold air intake as cheap as 183.99 maybe less. on google
blower pully for LSA 99.95 from lingenfelter
iridium spark plugs 9.79 per x 8 78.32

EFI live 900 + dyno time.

just trying to get your prices a little more real.

also where are the times of the 2013 gt500? haven't seen any solid times yet. so claim is unfounded yet. so keep stirring the pot.

Do you think a ZL1 will run anywhere near 10.99 with that list of mods? I don't see wheels and tires on that list, so I think a car with those mods will be much closer to 12's than 10's.

what about exhaust cut outs flip the switch and track time. flip the switch time to drive it home nice and quiet.

At most, I think it will take a big/little combo--stock suspension, stock motor. We'll see. I have neither car at this time, but would consider parting with my cobra to get one or the other. Why would it be hard to believe, when a current gt500 has been proven to run bottom 11's with big/little tire combo, and has 100 hp less?

Nah I think its closer to 15's when my 88 year old grandma drives it down the track but I didnt see that in the list either

What does it matter really? At the end of the its each persons money they are throwing in the direction they want to.

I really wish the manufacturers would allow people to turn down warranties and save money up front. That way the "well you went and voided your warranty" comments would have no wait.

I've owned two factory-forced induction cars---rarely, do you get off that cheap. Let me know where you can get a good set of wheels and tires for $1k

Its easy just wait it out for someone to put them on sale. I got a set of Weld race stars with slicks and matching fronts for 700 bucks. Theres options out there. I have 3 FI fords myself and looking at all the data, the zl1 looks like it will be pretty easy to get into the tens cheap outside the cost of the car itself.

You won't find any Welds or any other light weight wheels for these cars at $700.

Let me know when you find the same deal for wheels/slicks, and ill be buying them for all of my cars. I don't see this car running 10's cheap. I've been on the caddy forums for well over a year with my cts-v, and no one has done it that cheap over there. Maybe the updated mr suspension, and 50lbs weight savings will make a huge difference?

I think this car could have dipped into the 10's on this outing had they disconnected the front sway bar. I could smoke the tires badly before I disconnected mine....now it'll dead hook on white concrete. I can't wait to go back to the track. And guess how much it would have cost them? Nothing.

ps:I own a pully/tune 2011 Gt500 and am thinking of getting auto ZL-1 this summer..

I can't believe that car has the stock gears in it. He's shifting into 2nd gear at 60 feet and into 4th gear at half track. That car is geared for the 1/4 mile.
