SEAT HELP PLEASE! This is crazy!

Hi all, first time post. I need help with a seating issue I have with my new (to me) 2010 Camaro SS with sunroof. I am looking to do something to replace my seat on the drivers side. The problem I have is my head ends up jammed and in the sunroof area (not comfortable)! I can lay the seat back really far but for me thats a horrible way to drive the car and does not feel good to me at all. I have owned the car for 2 months now love the car (hate the lack of head room). Is there a solution seat bracket, new seat or other that you guys have done? If I go with another type seat I would lose the airbag. I even looked at the Cts-v seats. HELP PLEASE!!!

I think someone had the opposite problem with the passenger seat. He ended up mounting spacers on the bracket to raise the seat.
I don't know if the opposite is possible for the driver's seat. Maybe someone can chime in on that.
How tall are you?

Wait wut?

Are your legs REALLY short and your torso REALLY long?

Holy crap. You should not be having this problem. There are guys 10" taller than you making it work.

Not sure what your doing, but your seat would have to be all the way up and then some for your head to be in the roof. I'm 5'11 and never come even close. Even my father who is 6'3 didn't have his head into my roof.

I'm 6'2" and no issues with my sunroof......My seat is all the way down, and leaned back slightly. If my seat back is all the way up my hair just touches the ceiling....

Can get a pic if needed

Yeah I'm 6'1 and got the sunroof in my 2010 and have no issues, more then enough clearance. Lower your seat bro with the buttons on the side. Just push it down your seat should lower or pull it up to raise your seat

You should double-check it's all the way down.

I'm 5'9 and have a sunroof, no issues. You just have to lower your seat and accept the fact that the windows of the car aren't as big as on a pickup truck

Done and tried! Really looking to change out the seat at this point! Even stopped at dealer and talked to service about this, they said for some people this is a problem! Of course but they have no fix! He even got in the car and agreed with me.

Mines not a sunroof, but been in some, i have no problem, i'm 5'11, i have my seat all the way down even the leg part and the back tilted back some so it feels as i'm sitting on the floor pan ... as for Gangsta Lean do your seat like i said, now put right arm on center console, left hand between 6-8 position on steering wheel, crank up the music and roll if you can't do that then fly out to cali, and see peeps as they are driving around

I honestly think you're the first person (who's under 6'4") to have this problem.

I would fiddle with the seat adjustments a bit more.

Yeah if you are 5'8" you shouldn't even be as tall in the seat as the fully-extended head rest.

First of all when you adjust your seat does it move up and down? Try bringing it all the way up then bring it all the way down and see if it moves down any further

I am 6'2" also and have a sunroof, now I'm not saying that I have a bunch of headroom (or really any for that matter), but I am totally comfortable with the seat pushed all the way back and all the way down with just a touch of recline. I can't imagine someone that's 5'8" having any problems. I guess anything is possible, good luck.

I just test drove a 12 SS with the sunroof, I'm 5'10" and commented on the fact I wasn't rubbing my head. I have a pretty long waist, too so I thought I might rub from all the comments I've read on C5.
