Built my own short throw shifter...

Most of you don't know me... I'm not rich by any means, I just manage my money well, which allows me to have my sweet 2010 Camaro... Unfortunately this also means that while I would like to run out and spend $200+ on a nice aftermarket short throw shifter because we all know the stock throw really isn't that great, I know I have more important things to spend my money on... So in the spirit of me building my own stuff I have now built several short throw shifters by modifying the factory shifter... Picture below. Yes, it actually works, exactly as planned. The shifter shown left is a 20% reduction, and stock (shown right). The biggest reduction I have made so far is a 28% reduction; I personally wasn't a fan, but I believe you could potentially modify the stock shifter to be upto a 36% reduction in throw...

I've made a DIY thread about this, please feel free to check it out http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217080

This is a good mod. Did this myself in about an hour and half. I can't speak for the hurst shifter, but the stock shifter has a steel bushing so you don't get the side slop everyone else is complaining about when you swap to a Hurst shifter. Thank you
