The v6 manual transmission still isn't on the list? Where are these cars at?

Thanks Scotty! Since mine is finally supposed to be submitted today, I was sure at least one aspect of IOM 2SS would be constrained. Now I await the call from the dealer....

Which engine cover is this? Does this effect our cars in limbo, or the ones from here on out?

VYX = "LPO, Body-color painted engine cover
1 - Available in (GAQ) Red Jewel Tintcoat, (GBA) Black, (GCN)
Victory Red, (GCO) Rally Yellow or (GCR) Inferno Orange Metallic
and requires the same exterior color."

It should only affects orders that have not been placed to production yet (still at 1100).

Ok, so this doesn't count the V8 IOM cover?

It's not on my order anyways...but I wanted to order it after I got the car.

at least it's a constraint that can be removed from your car and easily put it on later when your car gets there

Actually it does (my copy and paste missed the last bit, just fixed it). If you were planning on waiting to order it, it should be available by the time you're wanting to get it.

What if I'm at 3300 now with the cover. How can I tell them to remove it so I can get my car built? I'm not going to wait 4 weeks just for this

And if they take it off, do I run the chance of the RS package and polished wheel being bumped off? Being past 1100, it would be hard for my dealer to fix it at the last minute. That really worries me now.

im surpiresed the manual v6 isnt under a constraint, they probably are just filling in the TPWs now, i dont see how the TPWs could be accurate if they keep switching the weeks, what about the cars that were schedualed for June first week, im wondering if the v6 manuals have a sort of "priority" now since they have only built 3.

According to the Chevy website when you build your own camaro, the engine cover is listed at dealer installed.

Im officially confused...

True, but how does this affect your order if your too far along to make changes? Will it automaticly drop off the order when it hit the factory floor, or does someone have to remove it first (dealer?)? I didn't think they could make changes past the 2000 code. I'm at 3300 now. What are my options?

EDIT: Nevermind, just read the whole thing that w00t said. I feal better now

Thanks for keeping us up to date, Scott. I'm a little concerned about the engine cover constraint, but as w00t said, it shouldn't affect me since my order has already been accepted.

Me too, I'm at 3300.... but since it's a dealer installed item anyway, why would they still not accept the order & build the car??
