I HATE pollen

I got home from work yesterday and the first thing I did was get out the soap and buckets for a much needed wash. I just washed it on Friday but all this pollen combined with just a sprinkle of rain sunday nite and this is what my poor camaro looks like. I wish I had a garage...

It really sucks to see this happen to ones car, always make sure it has protection and try using Finish Kare 425 Extra Slick Final Body Shine to help in keeping off some of the dust and pollen that falls on your ride.

same thing with mine. Washed and waxed it Friday, but with the stereo install over the weekend, it sat under a tree most of the weekend. It was almost synergy green because of the pollen, it needed another wash today.

When I did the preliminary rinse with the hose before scrubbing, you could see green water dripping off the front

I was about to say get a car cover but I'm going to assume that you park it on the street?

Yea parking in front of the house. I have a nice california noah cover with "SS" embroidered on the front but when I had it on the car for about a week, someone complained to the H.O.A and I came home to find an orange tag on it saying it was illegal to store vehicles on the property so I have to remove the cover.

Here it is looking much better after a nice wash down and some zaino treatment.....

I just wash mine once a week, hate the stuff also but why fight it? tried just hosing it off but it just makes it worse. just figure the pollen will not last forever, in a couple weeks it will start to go away and I will get back to my normal routine!

I used to dust the pollen off with a California Duster. Then I came across this sort of image of what pollen looks like under maginification. I don't think you want to be moving this stuff across your paint. Now, I either fully wash or just leave it alone.

When I bought my car the pollen on it was so bad both me and the salesman thought the car was black!

it looked much worse than the op's pic.

It seems to be dying down these days.. and frankly I like the color the car turned out to be when they washed it.

My truck that sits outside every day has seen better days though. :(

Holy crap, the pollen here has been very bad this week, too! Yesterday morning, my car was completely covered, so I did a quick rinse of the car. When drying it, got one half of the top dried off, and in the time it took me to walk around the car to get the other half, the dried half was already covered in yellow dust...

pollen is infuriating...it's like the dam trees are playing a trick on you.

And in regards to a car cover, they too are seemingly only for garages. I have an "outdoor" car cover, two actually. one is the red/blck GM one and another more expensive one, they both swirl the hell out of the paint in the smallest of breezes. I am very carefful with my paint, but after 3 weeks of a car cover in my driveway, swirl city, and it could only be from the cover...stupid things.

after a freek nor'easter dumped 8 inches of snow on us I brushed it all off my camaro, get up this morning and the car is covered in Pollen, LOL, can't win when your dealing with mothernature rinsed it off at a local touchless car wash, the wind this afternoon seemed to dry it nicely without redepositing a new coat of pollin. guess I will take it...LOL
