This is not a gimmick either ... They had a buyer back out. Kicking myself that it didn't happen two days ago when I was still searching since my order was stuck at 1102.

When I talked to them right before I posted they were calling all their leads back. I figured it wouldn't take long to find a buyer. I was actually 1st on the list and it was available to put a deposit on at 345 when they called me.

they probably would sell it for 60 over unless they find a high bidder...
kinda looks like their trying to find someone to offer them much more without really asking for more....they will sell for 60 over unless someone offers 5000 over...look at all the interest in it someone gonna offer way more than 60 without them marking it up....their just marketing it

This is Dustin from Starling Chevrolet Cadillac in DeLand, FL.

First, thank you Mr. GE Hixon for the post!

I want to clarify, all our new cars (Chevy and Cadillacs) are not $60 over invoice but $50. We are a family owned and operated dealership and serving Central FL for over 50 years, hence the $50 over invoice.

We print and show all new car buyers the invoice from the GM website to show we are not scamming anyone.

Cam ZL1 and Hognutz, I'm sure you've dealt with some other dealers that have not been as up front and I get that, I deal with the "car salesman" stigma all day long. So I understand where you are coming from but we are not that way. We couldn't survive this long if we were, ask Bill Heard. Come buy a car from us and let me change your image.

I hope everyone enjoys their ZL1's, they are AWESOME!

Anyway, I'm glad I was told about this website. I look forward to more communication and insight.

Dustin

Hey Dustin! Sounds like you ended up selling the car within a few hours after we talked. I didnt think it would last long ... especially at $50 over invoice!!

Already replied to Glenn and have posted in the ZL1 yellow thread.

Again Glenn thank you for the intelligence you shared on the forum about the availability of the Z at Starling.

Dustin and the gang at Starling were great to do business with.

I should have the Z home by next weekend. Can't wait for the road trip from Orlando.
