Mystery Scratches?

Ok these have been appearing on the front bumper since I've had the car, and I don't know how they get there. They buff out with some force, though. Today I walked up to the car and the whole front passenger side is covered with them... Does anyone know where these come from or has anyone else seen these on their cars? There are so many this time it's going to take a while to get them off.

So is this not the first time you have seen them? If not, sounds like someone is jealous and messing with you in the worse way. That or you are using a automated car wash.

those look like stress cracks in the paint , that are usually caused if something pushed up against your Camaro.

Looks like a bear instead of a cat using your car for a scratching post, and I also thought the same about the stress cracks in the paint

The directions and curves of the scratches don't make me think they are stress cracks.

I immediatley thought stress cracks or an animal. However, I believe that the direction of the scratches would be more random if they were caused by an animal or stress.

Time to look at everything that touches your paint. Washing tools, cover, duster, etc.

What's wierd is how the lines are evenly spaced and the pressure at which the paint was subjected to was equal meaning the scratches don't look deeper at one end or the other, very interesting grasshopper!

I GOT IT!!

You're a warewolf and YOU did this when there was a full moon!

Solution: Keep a lunar calendar handy, when full moons are expected stay the heck away from your car.

No automated car wash for me. And the car is garaged so unless someone is following me around, i don't think it's that. Plus since they rub off the vandals wouldn't be doing a very good job

No cats in the neighborhood, and the only place it was since then was the mall parking lot.

Will do. And if they are stress cracks, would i be able to recreate them myself by leaning on the car?

This, looks like an object with about 8 points is being dragged against your car.

Some of the lines have less space in between them though.
