Drag Racing Class Update

Classes have been adjusted/merged based on sign-ups AND to ensure everyone is included and has a chance to compete for prizes..

Take a look at the OP to see the changes...

...also looking for those interested in a ZL1 class. Post up if you want to be included...

I'm fine either way- just want to plan accordingly.

I think the idea is that tires don't matter... you can run any tire in any class.

Mike do I have that right?

Roger that, I hear you loud and clear... we'll make that change.

Good catch (edit made)... of course the intent is to eliminate COPO style cars stripped down for nothing but drag racing.
Although we would love to see these cars run, Exhibition only of course.

Slicks and skinnies are permitted.

And a nice Quote from SGOS25282

Can you put slicks on a street car for a day at the track? Sure. Can you open up th exhaust for a day at the track? Sure. But the car can quickly be put back to street legal condition.

A purpose built race car is not legal to drive on the street. You can't quickly change the tires and drive it legally on the street.

Just lift after the 1/8 mile mark... times can be easily extrapolated from that...
