My re-order is in transit

So I don't know if you guys remember about my car that failed inspection... but any way old news. My reorder was placed on April 29th and on April 30th it was pulled for production. About 10 minutes ago, my dealer called and told me that my new car is now in transit and on its way.

I was like holy crap. I was totally taken by surprise. They said my car was going to be top priority, but damn. I didn't expect it that quick. No complaints though. So just though I would inform you guys and the others that had to reorder. Hopefully your will go through quickly as well.

Awesome... I sincerely hope this is the method GM is using to handle ALL early VINs. Very cool.

what if you had VIN 0005 and it failed inspection.... would they give you that vin again lol... just curious

Thats what I should have done. Now I'm on a quality hold, and with the way they delay fixing their quality hold cars I would have been ahead by re-ording a new car the day they announced the battery cable problem on the yellow car. Now we're going to back up 7000 cars to fix the battery cable. I know it has to be done, but GM has not been doing a great job of fixing the quality hold cars in a timely manner. Guess what....

I'm going to look at a used GT500 tomorrow.

Hi Bigslik,

Do you know why your original order failed inspection? And what is your new order?

My car failed inspection too and they have NO IDEA when I will get my car. I'm tired of waiting and want to re-order but I want to make sure I don't re-order a bad part.

To be honest I don't know what theproblem was. All I know is that problems were found and corrected form future builds. I guess it information that GM doesn't what to be known.
