my 2012 with the BA pkg. opinion

Even with the Phoenix Gold sub/amp upgrade the BA in my opinion are not very clear. I just installed the Pioneer Avic Z140BH in my 67. I am using an Alpine digital amp, 2 Alpine speakers in the kickpanels, and 1 small 8" sub behind drivers seat on the floor. The clarity of this 3 speaker system blows away my 2012 in clarity and tonal authority. As i am in my upper 40's :( i dont turn it up as loud as i used to, but instead want clarity. Sorry BA, just not doing it for me.

I think i will be replacing my door speakers soon.

Many say it's the BA amp not the speakers that make our cars lack in clarity. Speakers might help, but the BA amp has to go.

not using the ba amp as the Phoenix Gold replaces it. I dont plan to change the rears, just the doors. Unless my issue is with the eq settings.

I've only listened to a BA system once, but when I did, it made me glad I didn't waste my money on it.

Though, it would have been nice to have the wiring already in the trunk.

Ok I work at a local stereo shop here in Louisiana and we sell Alpine, Rockford, JL Audio and Phoenix Gold... I was really scared to buy the Phoenix Gold setup and now I really couldn't imagine my car without it.. The 6 ch amp makes the BA factory speakers come alive like its almost unbelievable... Not to mention that the ported 10" sub that it comes with is more than enough sometimes I have to back the bass down.... One downfall... All my backdash and rear panels are all rattling loose... I gotta pull em apart and imma dynamat it all I think..
