Car Built on 3/24/2009

Help! My car was built on 3/24/2009 and was then bayed! I have called and called no luck? I called the customer service center and they said its in QC? that was six weeks ago no luck. The car is #1018 (last four) does anyone have an idea what to do??????? or what's going on??????

sounds like you car is in Quality Control...just be patient..hopefully it won't be much longer!!

Mine was produced the same day and I have a VIN of 832. I still don't have mine either and was told the same QC issue. Three weeks ago they told me it is in transit, but they have no idea where. My husband talked to our sales manager today and they found out in a conference call yesterday that the rails and distribution sites are full and only about 450 have actually hit the dealerships. Our dealership is just as angry as we are because they can't get any actual facts either and their allocated car for the May 6 unveiling still hasn't arrived. They have postponed their unveiling. A nearby dealership didn't get theirs either and decided to have theirs without a car. I tried the 800# for customer service and they were nice about it, but they called my dealership for info. I CALLED THEM BECAUSE MY DEALERSHIP CAN'T GET INFO EITHER!!!! The only positive thing I have been told is that my stripes arrived two weeks ago. Everyday I keep hoping and praying I will get the phone call that it has arrived, but then disappointed when it doesn't happen and I read this forum. This site is about my only source of info. Well, maybe one day we will get our cars! Hang in there!

Chevrolet Customer Assistance's job is to call your dealer and get info for you. They are also supposed to tell you that you should cut out the middle man (them) and follow up with your dealer. They can also call the dealer help line and get the same info that was given to your dealer. Thats it. Trust me, thats it. You're not going to get any info from Customer Assistance that you cannot get from your dealer. I feel they're a waste of time. Its not their job to track your order.
