Camaro vs 1994 Trans AM?

I used to own a 1994 Trans Am (V8) and was wondering how the Camaro V6 will compare speed wise??

the 94 V8 should still be faster. My brothers old LT1 use to run high 13's and trap 100 in his stock automatic fbody. It's close, the LT1 fbody's are probably wedged right between an 05+ Mustang GT and the '10 Camaro V6.

I have a 2007 V8 Monte Carlo SS and it looks like it may be even a little faster than the V6 Camaro?

That would be disappointing but I imagine that the Camaro might still seem as fast or faster because the Monte Carlo is front wheel drive?

But you also have about 50 ft-lbs more torque coming in a lot lower than the V6, in a car that weighs either the same or a little less.

hp vs hp is one thing, but the v-8 lt1 has a lil more torque to help get down the road. and a lot less weight as well. I do plan on testing the 94 f-body vs 10 f-body theory tho. lol

the LTT is a GREAT engine, but a naturally aspirated V6 doesnt have the torque to keep up with V8s just yet. give them a few more years.

I wouldn't be so sure. The V6 is posting low 14s in the mags, sure, and the LT1 is capable of mid-high 13s, sure, but what did the LT1 post in the mags?

14.1

It'll be closer stock to stock than you think.
