Sticker price
So yesterday I finally went to go see the camaro, which I had yet to see in person, and it was nothing short of amazing. Since I didn't preorder I asked when they would have some in and the salesman started with his speech and said to me if I ordered it then I would only pay sticker price, but I know there must be more and since I really want to go order it right now I would like to know if this is true and your opinion on it.
Sorry if this is a repost of some sort

I would call the dealerships in your area and find one that still has allocations and will agree to sell you the car for MSRP.
There are plenty of dealerships that you can order from at MSRP. But you may have to wait awhile for your car to come in. It all depends on how many Camaro's your dealership is allocated. |

Sierra Chevy in Monrovia, and Glendora Chevy are at MSRP. I ordered at Sierra on 3/28/09, and they have a TPW of 6/1-6/7

I stopped by a local dealer today. They'd gotten their V6 in. Yellow 2LT w/Black stripes & sunroof. Non-RS.
I was sitting in it when my friend said 'what are you paying for yours?' I said that this one was probably around $29,000. He said $36,000!! I had to look at that sticker. It was just over $30,000. But they'd added a $5000 'Market Adjustment'. I told my friend that's just dealer code for 'we're screwing you because it's a popular car'. Then announced a little loudly that that was why I didn't order mine from this dealership...

Just ordered my car today.
Sale folks at Hendrick Cary were very straightforward / NO BS or games. Only issue is clearly delivery time They have 60 camaros on order and say it could be up to November before they get car - but were pretty direct, saying that right now its is simply hard to give precise dates so they are erring on side of extreme caution. Right now it all gets down to desire to have it now vs waiting. 5k or so is a lot of money to spend just to have car now. Really is a matter of supply and demand right now |

I went to an unveiling yesterday morning with my dad (Reedman Toll in Langhorne, PA) and my dad asked a salesperson about the availability of the car and she said we can place an order for you so we sat down and I told her exactly what I wanted (SIM 2LT RS Automatic) and then we were discussing price and I mentioned to her that I've read about dealer mark-ups and the horror stories on this message board about people going to pick their cars up only to find out that they have to pay a mark-up that they weren't originally told about when they placed the order. She said they don't do that there so I asked if I can get that in writing and she said yes and she then got the manager and he sat down and talked to my dad and me about how they operate and how they won't do that and he put it in writing that I gave them a $500 deposit and he signed something saying that the car is to be sold @ MSRP. Extremely friendly staff working there and I've heard nothing but good things from people about this dealership. Kudos to Reedman Toll for being a honest dealership and not taking advantage of customers because of a hot new car.
Pics and HD video of the unveiling in this thread that I took: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21781
