I always thought of Covettes to be a grand pa car because around here only the old folks drive them.

Not a negative, a new vette is usually driven by a grandpa because:

Its expensive, so older guys can afford it.

No backseat, older guys no longer have kids.

But I dont agree with the challenger being on that list, I mean look at the rest of the cars, doesnt make sense haha

That's pretty much the people I see driving them. It's just like the 80s two door Buick Regals. Every old man from east to west drove one.

I'd agree with that to an extent. It's not the track star that the Mustang and the Camaro are. It's a much bigger, more comfortable car.

In my area for Dodge muscle cars I see 30 somethings and younger driving Chargers and 50+ drive the Challengers. At 30 myself, I love the Challenger it has the classic look. It was second on my list if I couldn't get the SS I wanted locally plus my uncle's retired Dodge so I was thinking discount.

Dodge is partnering with Whipple on the super-charged version coming out. They're going to call it the Challenger Whipple-snapper..

thanks, yours is a monster for sure. I'm trying to get closer to your hp #'s with a slightly smaller pulley, but don't envy your torque #'s ( but still badass!) as I can't keep the street rubber planted with 650rw trq, going to be interesting with any trq gains on the smaller pulley....nervous.

Well the rumors are of a 426ci 560hp n/a motor coming soon to the Challenger/Cuda. If this happens I wonder if it still will be Grandpa's car

What is amazing, and more than a little bit of fun is a 110 mph burnout...

All the suspension work and taller gears helped... went from 3.45 to 3.07's, and my trans gearing is closer ratio... I'll hopefully be making some shakedown runs at the track in a few weeks, with the slicks on...

I'm running a 3.07 now, not that great for 1/4 mile, but fun as hell on the highway I'm familiar with breaking the rear loose at 80-90mph on the highway hammering the gas, just a bit unnerving a feeling to start that slight list to either side at those speeds but then blasting off like a shot

Maybe Great-Grandparent

IMO
Grandparent, as used in this context, means an older person wants to sit in a Laz-E-Boy and use a remote for the TV.

It certainly doesn't pertain to anyone on this forum. Even if they are grandparents.

My B-I-L told my dad once that he drives like an 18yo.
My father said, "I'm glad I don't drive like an 80yo." (his age then)

Soon after the bil drove my dad crazy when he was behind the wheel. My dad said it looked like light speed watching all the taillights blaze by He drove like an 80yo my dad told me.

Just goes to prove there are all kinds in this world

When I was little, my dad had a tv with remote control... If I was sitting within reach, he would smack me on the back of the head and tell me to change the channel...

Ill have to be honest here for a minute. The Challenger was my dream car, and the camaro was my second choice based on looks alone. Then I test drove the challenger, and it felt like my girlfriend's grandma car. Too wide open in the cabin, didnt feel good at all. Then I sat in the camaro and test drove it and I havent looked back since that day. night and day between the two. There is no other feeling like sitting in a camaro
