As soon as I get an SS you'll see what we can really do with a performance vehicle.

BTW the lights are sprayed and wet sanded. It was a pretty involved process (having to pull both facias). The finish though speaks for itself.

A quick video we shot the day before the unveiling. Apologies for the shaky camera work.

The bowties are all painted matte black to match the stripes.

I like the dark bowtie, not sure about the smoked tail lights, I'm fine with how the RS tail lights will look on my Camaro.

they went through all that trouble to black out the rear lights when really they could have just had them smoked with transparent black vinyls

When we first tried to black out the gills they weren't absolutely perfect so they were scrapped. The finish is top notch on these now. I'm very happy with the result. It's a different look for sure but a better one overall.

Nope. Texas too. And Probably most states have something on the books that state that light must be visible up to so many feet. Tint reduces the visible light coming out of the tail lights. The darker they are with the further you are away reduces the visible light.

Guess we'll have to keep that in mind on our Lone Star Edition.

how is the bow tie blacked out like that? is it some kind of film put over the emblem or is there a clear piece that can be popped off where you can insert something under? or is it a whole new bow tie that just needs to be changed out?

I like the tinted lights, as far as the inspection goes; it helps to own a mechanic shop that does state inspections. hahaha

I am going to paint my bow tie and other plastics the the same color as my car.
