emblem idea

so here's my idea:
i wanted to replace my rear bowtie with this:

(if anyone's Christian on here, you'll know what it is)

i wanted to ask the people at emblem pros to do it but first my question is would this be a copyright issue?

Most likely yes. That's a "Registered Trademark" symbol there. I'd still ask though, just in case can do it anyways. Couldn't hurt.

Dont call the emblem pro guys..trust me. what you need to do is find a company that has a waterjet and does custom cuts. take a xerox of the logo you want (exact size) to them and have them cut it out of aluminum. I would then get it nickled.

Ummmm....don't know why you're bashing Emblem Pros. But Emblem Pros has a water jet. They can make anything you bring to them.

Nope, no water jet here. We use lasers. WaterJets are nice but they are a physical cut with force. Lasers do not apply force to a cut "no pressure". Because of this, a laser can cut much more detailed shapes and precision small cuts without the distortion a water jet would have. Seen em, been around them, worked with both. Each has thier pros and cons. To answer your question, yes we could easily do the above design, but we can't do it for obvious legal reasons.
If you get them to tell me it is ok, then I can make it. I have made things in the past with permission from the copyright holder. If you ask they might just say yes.

Not Of This World! Love what the stuff they sell represents.
They send stickers with your purchase, I bet if you called them and asked permission to have that made by emblem pros they would have no issue with it.

I ordered an SS emblem in chrome from them. They charged me 25.00. When I spoke to them on the phone I told them I wanted it to look like the stock emblem without the paint. They said No prob. I received a thin piece of metal that was so cheap looking my club members laughed at it. I was appalled they would send that to a Camaro owner.

I finally found out using a little nail polish remover on the stock logos removed the paint and they look great.

I don't think he was bashing. He was just helping him get around the fact that emblem pros just want to it for legal reasons.
