Anyone thats ever run a big cam come on in

So I got a pretty big cam in my 83. 242/248 @ .050 .571/.577 on a 110 LSA solid roller. I bought a vacuum can to help out the power brakes. Anyone know how to plumb it in? I put it in-line of the power booster and any assistance I had before is gone. So I was thinking of maybe putting it in with a T-fitting off the hose going to the power brake booster instead. Any ideas?

I switched over to a hydroboost for my brakes when I couldnt get enough vacuum with my 406 sbc, its worked great for the last 7-8 years.

You can add a electric vacuum pump to solve your problem. They work well and never seem to run out of vacuum, or do as I did and Just run manual brakes, lot simpler and less to take care of

Hmm I have been looking into this a bit. I really like the sound of it. What car did you put it in? Did you use a factory set-up or an aftermarket one? Any special quirks I should know about?

I kinda wanna keep some sort of power brakes.

BTW I am so jealous of your 69. I love the SBC 302.

Its been years but I thought the setup was from a Buick Grand National or a diesel GM from the early-mid eighties( Tornado or Eldorado). I think they are the same or very close. Its all GM and works great, you could look in the junkyard for a setup and grab all the lines.

I put it in a 85 Cutlass Supreme but see no reason why it wouldnt work in a third gen.
