It's the 2LT with the performance rated Pirelli All Seasons...they can go to 150ish from the factory.

Nice, didn't know the V6's went that fast either. 20 minutes for a 43 minute ETA? Give that man a Medal.

If I recall correctly, 146MPH with Pirellis/20s and 118MPH with BFG's/18s.

155 mph with 19's and 20's. 118 with 18's.

And OnStar on the V6's (if it was on the rental vehicle) can only track the vehicle, and disable the vehicle once the ignition is shut off. It's useless while the car is moving...

WHAT! So that whole commercial where the thief steals the tahoe then gets locked inside and it slows down and stops isn't real! My whole reality was just shattered!

There is a difference in what onstar can do on a v6 vs a v8?

Did not know that.

All Camaros can have the engine blocked (not able to restart after being turned off) and the feature where they lock the thief inside.

Luckily for you, they CAN slow down and stop your vehicle (V8 engine). The disable feature is available on certain model and trims of vehicles. For some reason, it's not available on the V6 Camaros.

And OnStar recently changed their website, so I can't find where they've documented it...

Onstar is very reluctant to shut down moving vehicles for liability reasons.
Loss of power steering and power brakes is the main reason.
BTW, Hertz looses a lot of vehicles from its rental fleet. They just don't tell anyone.
I notice the Camaro had a donut tire on the left rear. Not really made for speeds above 60.

Doesn't that car have 19"s? I thought only the cars with 20"s and pirellis can go around 155.

The 19 inchers are Pirelli's as well...albeit all seasons. They are still "W" rated tires.

I doubt it was actually going 150mph. The media likes to exaggerate.
