DFW Car Show Cancer Benefit - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello fellow DFW members, and all other members interested in this post. My wife and I are hosting a benefit for my father in law on June 24th in Keller, TX at Up N Smoke BBQ off of 377. My father in law has a rare and serious skin cancer that has effected his entire body. In the last two years he has had numerous tumors removed, and the Doctors are amazed he is still alive. He is unable to work at this point, and currently going thru Chemo and other operations. The hospital bills and medication are sky rocketing faster than money is coming in. This benefit will include a silent auction, a live band and all proceeds are going towards the hospital bills. Anyone interested in participating in the car show that Sunday please email me, PM, or respond on this post.

The show will probably start around 10AM and will end probably 3ish. There will be prizes and awards for the show, and at this point it will be an open show for any and all cars. The entry fee is (donations). If it's 20 bucks awesome, if it's 200 bucks awesome as well, we are not going to discriminate. The purpose is to raise money for him, and enjoy the day of beautiful cars, and other events. Again thank you all for reading and who would like to participate please let me know as soon as possible so I can make sure you are locked in for a spot. You can count on me, just bought a new 20 foot trailer so I can tow my car for the laps for charity next saturday 19. I can do it again in June.

I was going to suggest this, there is no way I can make it to the show but would definitely make a donation.

Awesome and great idea. I do have an account and will post that for donations. I will also make sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve for this cause! I am so proud that this world still has great people in it!!! I can't thank you guys enough how special this is to my family! My father in law really felt uncomfortable doing this benefit as he is very proud man man and would never ask for anything, but things are tough with the hospital bills, and I know he loves bikes and cars. My wife and I made sure this thing happened and for a great cause!! I will post my account probably later today in addition to the flyer we made for all others to view

Only had my camaro for a couple months now but this seems like a pretty worthy cause. If I can get off shift that day from the Fire Dept. I'm in. I'll know soon and will repost.
