There's a bulletin on this to replace the cluster and reprogram,

If your still under warranty and wanna bring it to the dealer, do that and they'll diagnose it and change it or fix the problem.

Might also be a wiring issue. I cant exactly pinpoint the cause because i never seen this happen to a customer around here before but wiring can be a suspect here, bring it in to get diagnosed.

What you may want to do is take your vehicle to the dealership. Depending on your mileage and other circumstances, your vehicle may be covered by the new vehicle limited warranty still. If you would like, PM your VIN to me and I will be able to let you know if there are any applicable warranties existing on your vehicle still.

Regards,

Brandon

I just ran into this issue with my 2010 SS Camaro...

My car currently has 24k miles on it and the tachometer isn't working... They just told me that my car is out of bumper to bumper warranty but from what I read this was an factory issue that the supplier put the needles in too far into the face of the tachometer.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi jcamere94z28,
Sorry to hear about the issues your vehicle has been experiencing. If you'd like to send a PM with your contact info (name, phone number), VIN, mileage and name of dealer we can do some research for you to see if there is any applicable warranties or recalls on your vehicle.

The dealer are our eyes and ears in this situation, so we recommend to continue working on a resolution to this issue with them, however we'd be more than happy to do some research for you.

Thank you,
Sara (Assisting Brandon)
