Planning to get illuminated cup holder - will this void warranty?

I'm planning to get one of these illuminated cup holders from sjmautoprod with either the t-tap or t-harness connection and I was wondering if plugging this into my car's electrical system would void my warranty?

Any thoughts/anecdotes on this since would be appreciated - I'm not particularly looking forward to going through all the legalese of the warranty by myself

cosmetic mods can't really void your warranty. You'll be fine.

I see that you are worried about your warranty on getting the illuminated cup holders. As per my resources here with GM, the New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from modification, alteration or suspected tampering, to the vehicle's original equipment as manufactured or assembled by General Motors.

I hope this information helped!

In other words, anything electrical that goes wrong after "tapping" into the cars original electrical equipment to illuminate the cup holders (possibly) will not be covered under warranty. However, I bet dealers will overlook that minor mod and still provide warranty work.
