Dear Camaro Gods (fbodfather)

My Little Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
Still waitin for GM Alerts to go "Beep".

Stuck at 3000 since one thirty one,
Oh so close, but my car still ain't done.

Those all around continue to move,
Like a skip in a record, I'm stuck in a groove.

Tried for my 1st "Z" in 73',
But a strike on Camaros, it wasn't to be.

I'm tryin again in two thousand and twelve,
Please oh Lord, don't let it get shelved.

I promise, yes promise, that I'll be real good,
Please show me some movement, please if you would.

Do this for me, and they'll be no more sin,
Cause I'll be too busy, with my new Permagrin.

I am in the same situation...3000 since 1/31, but I sure couldn't say it quite that eloquently.

I'd love a ZL1 but I'll be driving this SS for a while. Good news, she is paid off and I still get a kick out of driving her. Great poem BTW!

Standard, assume will be converted to exposed with credit on sticker, which I believe is SOP for all remaining 12's.

Nice poem, you'll get your car...

I got my Z in 73, the strike was in 72.

Yes it was 72, believe I ordered in Sept of 72 and with no end in sight to the strike, changed my order to a Nova SS (1973 Hatchback) based on the Dealers input. Loved the Nova....but.....it just wasn't the same.
We're showing our age.

I had a 70 Nova SS, brother had a 69 RS Camaro. I have had 3 Camaro's since, 2 Z28's and currently the 2SS. The ZL1 will be my 4th. I kinda figured we were close in age

Close indeed........Going to be lots of grey haired ZL1 owners/enthusiasts
running around.

Got married soon after the Nova which meant the boy toys went away for years.
