Blue Ray Metallic and MyLink with NAV ordering info.

Quote:
To All Chevrolet Dealers:

The new for 2013 Blue Ray Metallic exterior color (RPO: GXH) and the optional Chevy MyLink Color Connected radio with GPS Navigation (RPO: UHQ) will also not be available until 2013 ZL1 Convertible production starts in early August. These constraints apply not just to ZL1 but all Camaro models (SS, LT and LS). Please monitor the constraint information provided weekly for further updates.

Good luck and good selling.

Sincerely,

Russell M. Clark

Director – Chevrolet Small Cars, Small Utilities and

Performance Cars Marketing
Just an FYI for all of you wanting NAV or BRM. They won't start building cars with those options until August.

I apologize for my ignorance, but when he says "MyLink Color Connected radio with GPS Navigation", does that include all touchscreens that are said to be included in the 2LT models? I plan on ordering a 2013 V6 2LT and was hoping to HAVE the vehicle by August/September.

MzCamaro,

I'm not sure if this is "the" answer but the Mylink without GPS Nav has a different RPO code. There is another thread in this section that lists all the 2013 ordering codes.

Mylink is supposed to be standard on the 2013 SS,LT and LS cars. So unless they are not going to make any of those until August, I'd guess the base 2LT should be okay.

No. Just the one with NAV. I ordered a 2LT for stock yesterday and it will have the standard MyLink touch screen radio.

Should look something like this. I have done some training on this new setup at work. Should be pretty sweet.

Is the Nav standalone (like current built-in vehicle Nav systems) or do I have to plug my smart phone in?

I'd heard rumors that the Nav was going to require a smartphone app as the built-in units can't keep up with the pace of technology and customers were complaining.

Nav is a standalone flash card based system in the Camaro. The nav that uses smartphone integration is going to be the MyLink Nav radio in the Sonic and Spark.

I was reading the other day that the BRM color would not be available until August but the constraint on the NAV stereos would only be 2-3 weeks. Hmmmmm.

I wonder if you can add the navigation functionality at a later date...

I don't believe so. I know you can't on the Cadillacs that will have the new CUE system.

Question

GearHeadSS,

Did the unit you trained on look like this? Specifically did it have those vertical plastic chrome strips?

No. Pretty sure that one is Camaro specific. Here is the one in the 2013 Malibu.
