Clear Bra Paint Protection

I am getting a clear bra installed on my 45th anniversary on Friday. I've questioned having the whole hood covered and the installers say they can do it. My concern is the with matte colored stripes, glossy stripes and glossy paint. How will the installer keep matte stripes matte and the glossy paint and glossy red stripe glossy? Ideas?

He must cut around the stripes. The bra material won't stick to the stripes.

he will have to cut around the stripes, not because they wont stick but because it will make the matte stripes look glossy

My installer insisted on it. He said it would be a problem down the road if he tried to clearbra over the stripes.

A little bit off the topic buuuut...

I am also thinking about getting a clear bra. I only want to do the bottom of my front clip though.

I was reading in another post that this stuff will last around 5 years and it will discolor slightly throughout the years.

Has there been improvements on this stuff? I believe the thread I read was from 2009. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32074

I am a little hesitant to put it on. Does it come off easily or does it leave residue? I just don't want to end up with a huge mess down the road....

HUGE IMPROVEMENTS! Mine has been on for over 2 years, and still looks great.

Good to know. Thanks. Now I just have to make sure I don't buy some old stuff that has been sitting on the shelves for 10 years!
