Window Issue

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I took my Camaro in to the dealer today to have my window repair because it not going up all the way. They tell me its not a gm window so its not covered under warranty. But they can hear something loose in the door.Wouldn't the door be full of GM parts that are making the window not work.I did buy the car used so i have no idea if the window was even replaced

Not necessarily. If the window installer did a crappy install and things fell apart, well...that's not GM's problem.

what reason would he have to do anything to the window(passenger side or drivers side). even if he got his car tinted they do not take the door apart, even if he replaced his speakers, windows wouldnt have been touched or the mechanism for the windows

He said that the dealer told him that it wasn't a GM window. Therefore, a previous owner or even the dealer themselves had to have replaced it. You have to separate the glass from the regulator, and if not done properly, could have gotten jacked up during the replacement. Could've been busted out at one point from a potential thief.

I understand how frustrating this can be to you. If you would like, please send me a PM with some information and I can see what options are available to you. Just send me your first and last name, VIN, mileage, address, phone number, and involved dealership; and I will be more than happy to research. Also could you send me details about how you bought the vehicle? I look forward to your response.
