Kenwood DNX6990HD all the way. It has 5V preouts (vs 4V on Clarion) and Built-in HD radio. It also has 22W RMS per channel vs the 18W on the Clarion. The Kenwood also has a 2 year base warranty, vs the 1 year for the Clarion.

The Clarion has a 0.1" larger screen, but both have the same resolution.

Does yours seem like it has a really slow reaction time?

I was playing with one in an audio shop last week and with every touch of a menu item came a solid two seconds of time before it'd go into that item. Whereas there was a JVC right next to it and it would be instantaneous to each touch. The owner of the shop did say that Kenwood was updating them with a new software, but I don't know if that'd quicken the load times.

Sorry OP for thread jacking, but I'm sure you'd like to know this stuff as well lol.

I have neither. I was just comparing the two as far as features, power, and warranty. My experience is that all multi-function devices (smartphones, car nav units, etc) all have lag issues.
