GTR smoked a newish Viper around a track on a show I was watching. The GTR is a crazy fast car with a skilled driver behind the wheel.

GTR's are performance cool, but I prefer the ZL1. I don't like the look of the GTR. It kinda reminds me of a guido car like a Viper. Just my opinion, not hating.

yep. Ugly. but that is once again my personal opinion. Everyone has different taste in automotive styling.

it went from the zl1 vs gtr racing, to how ugly the gtr is. I think thats everybodys default comeback when there is a car faster then the camaro. for example the gt500 its faster then the zl1 but its "ugly" a zl1 isnt touching a gtr stock for stock it wasnt built to take it on

like i said i owned one they are not ugly in my eyes
but i had other issues
like the run flats
uncomfortable seats
noisy transmission /expensive oil changes
but GTR's are fast and in my mind are track stars not for the street.

But i sold because i was tired of how uncomfortable it was and i hated the
Dual clutch transmission.
Both of your reason for selling the GTR would also apply to the ZL1, esp if you have any back problems

Well to me the rear of the roof and angle in the side windows kills it

Sweet car! I think I might have seen you.
Do you ever come to Main St in Newark DE?

I used to hate GTRs, but they are growing on me.

Well I think the GTR is sharp as hell, but a little more costly than I'm willin to pay. I really didn't like payin 61 + for the ZL1 but it's my affordable sports car
And I really don't give a shitt who or what is faster, it satisfies me in its capabilities. But I have to disagree with you on the comment that the GT 500
Is faster, theirs no proof to your claim, on thr other hand I believe GM when they say it isn't and Al O. Himself saying that he believes it will compete if not beat the 13 GT 500 when it shows it's ugly face...just sayin...

I hope that the magnetic suspension will do the trick...have you ever driven a car with magnetic suspension its Very good technology and i can say that because i own a r8 spyder
which has it and rides really well .
Im not sure if the Zl1 has Run flats or not.

Does the trick.
If someone invested on the ZL1 enough money till the total cost for the two cars are close to the same amount , i thing that the ZL1 will put the GTR on the rear view mirror .

Well I've had my Z for a month now lol so yeah but the suspension isn't the problem its the seats I've found that to be comfortable the seat has to nearly be completely straight, otherwise the seat puts way too much pressure on my lower back right in the center.

Btw if you don't mind me asking what do you do for a living as it appears you have a mercedes work van lol.

ZR1 is really a wicked car but it takes a great driver to push it. I would run a better time most likely in a GTR beause I don't have enough seat time in a ZR1.

Zl1 has run flats. Pretty smooth in touring mode.

Yeah overall the ride is phenomenal, like I said my issue with being comfortable is with the seats themselves. They're wayyyyy too stiff in the lumbar area.
