Bogarts or Welds RT-S?
Im trying to decide between the Bogarts RR-10 or the Welds RT-S. My car is lowered 1" so I know the Welds require a BMR lower control arm to clear it. I dont think the Bogarst have that issue. The Welds seem to be the cheaper way out but I wanted to know the weight on both wheels to compare. I know theres no bad choice between the two but im still leaning towards the bogarts because its a better looking wheel in my opinion but I would like to know what you guys think. Thanks.

I wanted Bogart but they're not recommended for a daily driver so I went with the 17's Weld RTS series. I'm not lowered but I ordered the BMR LCA's anyway. Hoosiers up front. 315 Mickey Thompsons in the rear.

Yep they told me that too. Can't go wrong with either one. Bogarts are badass.

the bogarts in a 16 inch wheel will need the lower control arm clearanced.
you can heat and hammer in the clearance or you can cut out the rubbing section. |

I like them both but I'd prefer the Welds. That wheel just screams musclecar.

Bogarts all the way. The Welds just look odd...and they don't fit without a big F'in hammer or a torch.

Wait, we actually agree on something! Shit, Now I know the end of the world is coming. The Bogarts do look like a much better built wheel but thats just my opinion. I've had my share of Bogarts and wouldn't think twice about another wheel. I'm sorry I don't have the weight handy but is it floating around this site somewhere.Bogarts for the win!

If you are looking for a dedicated track wheel, then by all means, get the Bogarts. If you want something a little more affordable that you can also drive on the street without worrying about every little bump in the road, then get the RT-S wheels. I love my Welds!!!
17x5.0 Weld RT-S = 16.2 lbs. 17x10.0 Weld RT-S = 19.3 lbs. Sorry, I can't help you with the weight on the Bogarts...I'm sure they might be a pound or two lighter. Last edited by blazzin1; 05-21-2012 at 01:09 PM. |

Ok I verified the weight on Bogarts the front 17x5 weigh 16.2lbs and the rear weigh 19.2lbs. I'm just gonna go with the welds. They both look awesome so i know Ill be happy either way. The pricing on the welds are alot better even if you have to buy the lower controll arm.

Nope, no problems with the finish yet. But mine are still pretty new, only had them for a few months now. Mine cleared the stock LCA's, but it was very close, I only had about 1/4" clearance. I bought the BMR LCA's just to give me a little more comfort room, I'm sitting at about 1/2" now.

I think you'll be fine. I've never heard of a lowered car and Bogart issue. Worse case you'll have to notch the LCA's. Takes 5 minutes. I had to do minw when I went to 16's. Everything is packaged and ready to go!!!
