Exclamation Should I pull the trigger?

I found some brand new Goodyear Eagle F1s 305/35/20s and the rear set is only $400.00 bucks. Or I could pay $430 plus shipping for some regular 275/40/20s. I have searched and read the threads about not going this big on the stock 20x9 rears, but I can't resist.

Long story short, although its not recommended has anyone wrecked their car because of this or lost a tire? I don't do any road racing or crazy performance driving. In fact I only drive the car about 100 miles a week if that. If they made OEM wheels in 20x11 I would do that, but I can't find any.

I would be running the stock wheels/tires up front 245/45/20 on 20x8 wheel.

Had my 305/35/20s put on today at Merchants Tire and Auto. There were no problems and the car seems to drive the same as it use to. The tire does not look that big, maybe because they are 20in wheels?? Now I am thinking I want a 19in wheels out back to make the tire look wider like a Vett? I don't know, but I love the way a Z06 looks from behind and I want that look. I have my name on the list for a 2013 ZL1 Vert so maybe I will just run a 325/335 on back of that?
