Need help making a platform for a bike.

Whats up guys, I need a place to store my motorcycle where water won't get to it. Do any of you have any ideas? I was thinking a 5' by 3' platform with a ramp up to it, maybe 4"-6" tall. I dont know what material would be best to build it with. Any ideas?

I have a cheap harbor freight bike lift, works great. Doesn't get real high but for less than a couple hundred can't be beat.

I usually store my motorcycle on a PepsX stand during the winter. Once the bike is on the stand, it is extremely study. That makes it great if you need to do any maintenance or even if you want to sit on the bike to adjust highway pegs, etc.

However, you also need to have a motorcycle jack to get the bike up on the stand. For that, I have a Craftsman motorcycle/ATV jack.

just an idea to help your creativity:

you could get a busted ole trailer and take the wheels/axel off. make a little ramp (very little). that would keep you off the ground.

you could always make a small 2x4 frame and cover it with pressure treated wood, or some sort of metal sheet.

you can make a small ramp by taking a couple 2x6s on top of each other (glued and nailed), then cut them at an angle on one side.

where are you putting this platform?
