For some reason, the genius that designed the radio decided Aux-In should be the default even if an iPod is plugged in. Hit the button again and it should switch to the iPod option.

The same thing happens to my iPod. I need to mention this to my dealer the next time I'm in there. It's always connected but my AUX button doesn't pick it up at times. Sometimes it even goes out when it's in the middle of a song.

Sometimes I have to hit the source button on the steering wheel, try that if you have the controls.

My iPod's battery is getting old (version 5.0 from 2006), so when it's cold outside it takes a couple minutes to charge enough to be available to the car.

you should be plugging it into the USB port.....not the aux.
