Black Sunshine

Valentines Day 2012:

My girlfriend decides I need a new car and buy's this 2012 2SS for me

Let the mod's begin.

I saw some pic's of car's with the red around the wheel, so I decided to see how it would look with some red pin strip tape.

I had some pin striping left and thought let's see how it would look as actual pin stripes.

Still had some more pin striping and wondered how it would look as a dash accent.

Thought the engine needed some color and the front Chevrolet emblem was too big so I did a bow tie delete.

Messed around with some Di Noc carbon fiber vinyl as stripes and stuck some LED light's in the mail box.

Just purchased some new item's and deliver starts tomorrow.
More picks to come....

1: TSW MAX Black wheels
2: retro chrome side vents
3. Havok rear spoiler
4. Hex Vent's
5. Pype's bomb exhaust - installed
6. Perma grin

subscribed and cant wait to see those rims!

are you going to leave the gills chrome? it would look pretty awesome (in my opinion) if you got them painted gray to match your stripes. Just a thought i wanted to throw out there. they are going to look good either way

I'm still up in the air with that. Gonna test fit them in chrome and then plastic dip black to see what looks best. I also bought some OEM flat black stripes so the Di Noc stripes came off this AM.

Going to stripe the new black wheel's red after doing some pic's for BestWheelDeals or BWD website.

Wow those look great! I'd be too scared to cut into my hood though haha. I thought about getting vented fenders, but I'm afraid to cut into that as well. Not the best tool savvy person in the world, lol.

I've never had an tool training and suffer from alzheimer's, dementia and fatigued all the time and it was a breeze. Took maybe 2 hrs top because I needed rest breaks while cutting.

Biggest thing is to take your time and take careful measurements, read the detailed install instructions and use new and proper blades when cutting.

* I keep my dad around for second opinions and measurement's and first aide if needed. Lucky for me he lives across the street.

My flat black rally stripes came in so I installed them. Talk about a pain, doing the hood. Trunk was a piece of cake.

All looks good, love how you can see the orange engine cover through the vents at certain angles

looks great im waiting to see if the hex vents can be installed outside of the cowl, same place you have them but about 2 foot further apart. i think it would look cool. any input considering you have had your hands on them?

I was thinking the same thing actually.
It would work if it was a perfect flat area, if it was a rounded area it might warp the hood when you tightened it down.

Front and back of HEX VENT
The quality of the vents are top notch. All metal Vent's and mesh (6 S brackets and stainless hardware) secures the vents in place.

Looks great and congrats on the wedding! Pics with your test of chrome vs black side vents? I have considered both but have never seen the matte black on a black car before.
