First camaro. $6,000 to spend. What do I need?

Okay I just bought a ls, I have $6,000 extra to spend. Need advice on how to spend it wisely to get the most out of it. I am assuming cat back and cai are on the top of the list? Then what? Hf cat? Need info on best brands also. Thanks!

Mrt V.2 or stainless for the exhaust, for a CAI you could do Air raid, CAI, Vararam, or K&N. A catch Rx catch can. LT headers. I would invest in window tint. It makes a world of difference on looks and keeping your ride cool on the inside. then the rest is what ever you want to spend it on.

If you have a 2012, no headers. I'd get rid of those heritage wheels and get yourself a set of 20s

With that much laying around I would've at least gotten an RS package. Trust me this forum will quickly zap your wallet.

First thing, it looks like your looking for performance first. Sadly the LFX is kinda limited right now due to the new set-up but vendors are working at it. There are PLENTY of cosmetic mods out there, so best of luck deciding what color scheme you want.

If you want the most from that numbers wise, you might as well Supercharge/Turbo it as mentioned above

Otherwise you're on the right track with exhaust set-up, intake, and the like. If I would have had an extra 6k laying around I would've definetly just gotten an SS. Don't forget you asked

All available bolt ons.

Vararam CAI... I dont think its out but I would wait, trust me its worth it.
The exhaust of your choice.
Some nice wheels.
Solo Hi Flo Cats (dont know if they fit)
A Tune... Would recommend something you or a shop can easily work with.

If you don't need all the power all the time then nitrous for sure. Can use it when you need it and reliable if installed and set up by a reputable shop

Only you know what you like and want. Is there a big hurry to spend the money? If not just sit back and read the Forum to see what others are doing and what is working for them. You will be amazed at what you can learn by just going through the Forum and reading what others are doing and what kind of problems they are experiencing. Then come back and ask questions about what you have read about. One word of advice is think long term about what you want to do to your car. If you think you want a turbo later then long tube headers will be a waste of money since you will most likely have to remove them and replace them with either stock manifolds or short tube headers for example. Something to think about.

You can go FI but that's a whole new game with a whole new set of rules. You're also looking at installation so it won't be just 6k. Your warranty is definitely toast with FI. I don't regret any of my mods and I'm going FI here very soon. Headers are out so I'd go with a quality catback and shed about 50lbs in the process. ARK N2 or Corsa or even ARK DT-S. All 3 feature 304 stainless steel. (ARK's are mirror polished all the way) DT-S and Corsa feature 2.5" piping which is an improvement over the stock setup's 2.25" piping. The N2 features 2.75" and is a bit more aggressive than the other 2. These are the highest quality catbacks you're going to find.

CAI: you have a few options here and it just kind of comes down to personal preference. Vararam may be worth the wait.

VMax ported throttle body and insulators by Mace or RX are all relatively cheap mods that improve your power.

Trifecta tune is also worth looking into. The 2010-11 LLT motor's Bosch ECU's don't have flash counters so you can flash your car back to stock before you take it in for service. Not sure about the Delphi ECU on your 's though.

I'd definitely get some lightweight 20" rims with Nitto's and I'd go 10-10.5" in the back. Those would look boss. A spoiler and maybe a splitter with some LED fogs and DRL's.

Show some love to your suspension too with some Pfadt adjustable sways and end links. I just replaced mine and my end links were hammered. The rubber in them was cracking at 2 yrs old. The stock sways on these V6's are about as substantial as a Kmart curtain rod.

Coilovers are expensive but after having drop spings on my car for 22 months and just switching to fully adjustable coilovers, just do the coilovers and skip the drop springs. Drop springs get you the lowered stance and a firmer ride and are a decent low cost alternative but the coilovers just offer much better control. They'll make your Camaro feel like it cost 30k more than it did.

Once you start modding, it doesn't stop. And it's not going to stop after 6,000.00 either.
Just enjoy it.

get a mrt v1.0 or 2.0.. zl1 bumper conversion, around 1400(painted).. new rims tsw donnington or nurburging OR forgestar f14s(id go with f14).. zl1 side markers .. check out mnpcustoms for some vinyls, black out tailight kits for like $25 or some stripes, bowtie black outs etc etc. .. Possibly tint your windows? im really into the zl1 conversion so maybe even the hood as well may want to wait on that for some aftermarket insert. I would get a scoshe camaro dash kit and then some gps, probably a pioneer. That's what i would do if i had 6000 to spend.. Goodluck

Great words of advice Sixjak. I'm currently waiting... forever... for my Corsa exhaust to ship to me . But I was curious what and how much coilovers are running?
