The strike is expected to halt shipments of grain, fertilizer, coal, cars and other goods that Canadian Pacific moves along nearly 14,900 miles (24,000 kilometers) of track in Canada and the U.S

I know that they wouldn't want to get a rail car of ZL1's sitting side-tracked somewhere...think security - elements - vandalism.

Fire up the 18-wheelers or...I've got my passport in my back pocket.

So does Chevy make other arrangements to get these vehicles to the dealerships or are we going to have to just wait this out??

So there's going to be a LOT of ZL1's @ 4B00 pretty soon I'd imagine.

At this point, they (GM) probably haven't made any decisions. It would be nice if someone "in-the-know" would jump in here, but I doubt that they have answers yet.

As you know, information in this whole process has been at a premium.

I agree. It would be nice to have an authority figure jump on and update us and let us know what to expect.

They can always truck them over to the US to ship them by rail! We can only hope!

I don't believe this will affect the shipment of our cars, they ship on CSX and the CP rail is a east to west northern rail system.

Now for my conspiracy theory. Will the strike affect getting raw materials and parts from suppliers to the plant for producing the cars. Perhaps this is why im still at 3000?

I believe they all leave Oshawa on Candian Pacific and switch over to CSX in Detroit. At least that was the way mine was shipped.

Cp Rail comes across the border @ Detroit...we get them DET-CHI on our line here.
I rememeber when union mill here in town went on strike.. our non-union managers hasd to switch the boxcars there.
I forgot there was talk of CP Rail strike...
The CN rail also goes thru Canada, into the states here @ Port Huron, MI
I wonder if they honor the CP strike,
we arent on strike down here in the states, seems weird to me.

i just got off the phone with GM customer services and it took them all day to get the info, but they told me that my car was loaded today at 2 pm and will be headed to Colorado 2marow. I asked about the rail strike and they said at this point it was not an issue to them so is it coming or not???? the hope continues

I tracked all three of mine via CSX ... So I really don't know other than that.
