Who makes the Comp2's? The Michelines are nice, but too much for me too.
I am thinking I may run my Modulares with the Invo's at this event. I am about due for new tires anyway so may as well finish them off.
I think I am going to go with less stagger next set. Maybe 275's and 295's. I hear that is better for the racing.
I will try to get out there with you for some practice, but going to need to be a couple of weeks before I am ready.

I agree with that. I have them now and love them. Do you recall seeing them in a 295?
When I got mine it was all about big fatty's in the back, but sounds like less stagger is better for handling and may need more clearance when I drop it more.

I know guys who have done the 275's all around. Thy say handles better, more stable and less understeer. Want to see what you think as I may go that way also.

305/30/19 on all 4 is probably the best setup for the track. Thats what the Pedders Camaro runs.

I would not think so. You would not need that big of a tire in front. It would be more weight for nothing....

I read that wide is good for the front. More contact with the road for cornering.

The more meat the better to a point. Stickier outwieghs bigger to a point, both is best. G.M. did narrow in front for looks, cost, mpg and alot of understeer plus other things to I guess

I agree with that. Big tires weigh allot. 275 in the front is plenty big for what we do.

Yeah on a street car the stock sizes are good enough. But for a track only car I think bigger is better lol.

I am just basing it off of what Pedders runs. They seem to know what they are doing.

They are using the cars for road course and racing not autocross. That is all high speed stuff, If I was racing like that I would run bigger tires as well.

Thats what I was talking about. I said for the track. For autocross 275 is fine.
