I see BMR doesn't offer a 1 inch drop for the v6.. why is that? Not sure I want to go lower..

Whats the deal with the tower braces? I SWEAR that the stb016,013,014 USED to be listed for use on all models NOT just the 2010. Now they are listed ONLY for the 2010 with the stb017 being the only one for 2011+.

Am I remembering wrong? Reason Im asking. I dont like the 2 point BMR. The OEM mount 2 bolts towards the inside an one on the rear of the tower. The BMR 2 point brace does not utilize this 3rd bolt. I figure the 3rd is for any "twisting" of the tower in regards to the other tower. Inside bolts for inward flex of tower tops.

I liked the 4 point BMR when it said it was for my 2011. I figured the farther the bolts were from each other the better.

What do ya think? (I am getting a brace and have not decided)

sorry if this is a jack :(

Initially they were but GM changed the strut towers. I think when BMR first listed the applications that was not known.

Huh. this is the first time i have heard about a tower change between 10-13. hmm. Seems weird, very.

I wonder if the OEM part number changes then (oem brace).....hmmmmmmm

What changed? Do you know?

TIA

They changed the strut tower to add the factory brace. Here is a 2010 driver's side strut tower.

Here is a 2013.
