ADM Installed Whipple on Stock 2012 L99

Andy and his crew at ADM Performance Lewisville Texas babysit my car while I went to Disney with the family.
2012 2SS RS with about 1200 miles on the Odometer.

Nice work done at ADM

When I got back the horsepower had jumped from 329 to over 450

350 mile road trip home went great.

The roads had to much traffic to do any real boosted tests.

Shifting is better now too.

I mean you know horespower is there ,,, just haven't pushed it yet.

Plus I wanted to change out the Oil and Diff when I got past the 1500 mile mark..still getting past the factory breakin period and all .

Andy also put on the PFADT rear suspension and Diff bushings.

Plus a Lingenfelter Air/Oil seperator.

Larger cooler for the transmission.

I honestly forgot that the front Facia and fender wells had to be removed to install the cooler for the Whipple.

When you look around under the hood lots of braided hoses it looks great all routed clean and fastetend in place.

Thanks Andy

I'll be back .... just need to decide whats next.

Did u get a tune? 450 seams a little low. L99 whipples tend to put out low 500's. If you are running the whipple tune I would highly recommend u stay under 4k untill u get a proper dyno tune.

Not complaining against Andy beleive me.

I was treated to a great Tuner and Installation looks as good as factory .

Most cars out there have many other upgrades besides the Supercharger.

Have not been able to find anyone making the HP Claimed by Whipple on a stock car.

I'm new to the forum and Camaro C5's .

This is a Daily Driver so I would

Much rather have a dependable car than a Dyno monster that needs constant repairs.

Don't want a LOUD car again ,
right now its sweet , you can hear the blower when getting on it,
but still hear the exhaust as well.
I think with headers it would be all exhaust all the time.

Like I said I'm new to this forum and need to visit with other owners.
If you can get 60 HP from headers and new tune/pulley temptation would be high.
BUT its my daily driver so gotta keep it uable with the wife on board too.

We drove over 350 miles from ADM with no problems talking and listening to the radio.
At one point I was getting on it just a little and got the look from my wife
Till I pointed at the Mustang beside us and said "Thats what your hearing its not the Camaro"
When he was gone so was the "Noise"

Aslong as you keep the mufflers in the back it would be quiet. You would be amazed at how quiet actually. I have a set of dynatech longtubes, no cats and no mufflers and crusing at 72 mph on the highway you hear a very very slight exhaust sound. just enough to let you know its there but if i turn the radio up to 8-10 volume level i dont hear any exhaust its really mellow. but when you get on it and it screams at 6500 rpm you better wear ear plugs if your outside the car lol

Your the first person I've heard to describe Long tubes, no cats, and no mufflers as quiet. It might be quiet as long as you never touch the gas pedal.
That's an extremely loud setup by pretty much anyone's definition.

Nice feedback info about your drive back home to Kansas. Although it will not add HP rear gears will add performance. And, ALL SIX GEARS will benefit. Very minor change in fuel mileage as well but that is not why you bought the car in the first place. Either factory LS3 3:45's or optional factory 3:70's. Andy can advise but your butt dyno will feel it.

Many good ideas above from Camaro owners and it will be easy to get over the 500 rwhp hill.

Didn't really think it thru on the gears issue , your right about the multiplier effect , especially in the first few gears.

Add Gears to the list of mods to come

How much louder in the cabin with Longtubes and cats ?
I don't mind it being loud outside just want a fairly quiet interior.

Touch the pedal, bro even starting the engine made me squirm with tons of guilt when I had a straight through exhaust and headers. Try going by cops in neutral.

Don't know how much experience you have with RWD powerful cars, but the next mod I would suggest is more tires and wheels and a few suspension mods to put the HP you have down before adding more power and/gears. I also asked Andy for a SAFE setup with a Maggie (L99) and I can't punch it like I used to, out of a turn in 3rd gear. I don't do drag strips, so what I have (like you) is more than what I needed to go on spirited drives with my car clubs on the weekends. For quiet exhaust, look at the ones with a resonator like the MBRP for the L99. My setup is LTs with cats and resonated cat back and it plenty loud on long drives.
