actually, if or the next time it happens.....move the the streering wheel....usually the wheel is just a little in a bind and you will be able to turn it and start the car.

when you stop your car, to put it in park, and remove your key, if the column lock isn't exactly in a "notch" and if you trun the wheel slightly to engage it. the next time you go to get in teh car and go to start it, put the key in, and move the wheel just a tad to release any tension in teh mechanism it will start with no proplem.

Ya mine does this all the time if there is any preload on the steering wheel when I turn off the ignition, normal as long as it frees up completely when you move the wheel abit.

If you are still having a concern with this, the best thing would be to contact your dealership for a diagnostics appointment. If you have any other questions, please feel free to send me your VIN and I will be able to research this concern as per my resources allow me to.

it means the steering wheel is locked, just turn the key gently while moving the wheel left and right and it unlocks.
