Why won't you close!

So my drivers side window rolls down great! I push the button it rolls right down automatically with good speed! I push up gently it stops at the position its at in order to open partly - basically like what I am assuming everyone's Camaro does.

Now the problem is with rolling that window up! When I hit the button the window rolls up all the way to the top (with the door closed or opened either or), then it rolls back down to about 1/4 of the glass being revealed from the bottom of the door. I push up again and it rolls back up then automatically back down again to about 1/4 of the glass showing again. I can get it to close fully but I have to hold the button in order to make it pull up fully.

Any one else have this problem or know what could be causing it??

The window is trying to reindex. If you're going to roll the window halfway down, I'd try depressing the button only halfway and holding it there until it reaches the desired position and release, rather than making it auto-down then using "up" to stop it.

For some reason this action throws mine for a loop as well, it reacts more consistently if I use the described method.

If you continue to have problems, try reindexing manually- turn the car to AC power, with the door open, and hold the button UP for 3 seconds. You should see the window reindex, and the issue should clear up for the time being.

I can certainly understand your frustration with this issue. If you want to send me your VIN, I will be glad to do some research and see if the owner's manual addresses your concern. Otherwise, the best thing to do is to have your dealership diagnose it.

I would love to go to the dealership but I am kinda of embarrassed to go there a forth time as I have been plagued with small problems from the start.

Already had my large cooling fan die on me and the car overheat, problem with the sky light mechanism, noises from inside the engine bay - that were not there from the start, and now this.

I will get back to you with the VIN number sometime this evening!
