ur right i had to read it again it wasnt about 2 numbers like i thought but im telling u there was something about that last MAF cause that is the only difference on the car and there is no sluggishness about the throttle response anymore. maybe i just had one that was going bad i dont know im in jacksonville right now and they have dyno's all over the place but i dont think it will affect hp numbers but def helped throttle response

That's definitely good to know! At least one of them fixed the issue, as that's what matters. I had a weak one too :(.

Just for testing, it would be interesting to see your original sensor and your new one on a dyno, but the bad part is that it'll cost some money :(.

K7 should have been fine but it could have been contaminated or something. A lot of people do not realize you are not supposed to touch the surface of it and end up getting oil from their skin on it. I guess all that really matters is that your car is running stronger. Like camaroRND2 said, you definitely feel that it is much more responsive and stronger but I honestly do not know how or if it would show up on a dyno. Maybe we can give it a try at C5Fest.

To be honest, I am not a tuner so I am not sure. Give them a call and ask.

I'd also be curious if this would affect a tune, I seem to think it might.

i just pulled mine on a 2013 ss and it says k7 and most the ones i have read about are a letter and 2 digits and mine is just one is this a good one or a week one i got the car a month ago and it just feels inconsistent some times it is fast and other times it is a dog i don't know what the issue is i have a cai cai intake and a corsa cat-back and was thinking about buying the ported throttle body from you guys do you think that might help and do sell the painted ones what is the price and how do i go about ordering from you guys and this was directed at apex and i apologize if this isnt the place to bring this up

A K7 is a strong MAF. You do not need a new one. We do sell painted throttle bodies. You can order right here or give us a call at 502-930-APEX.

If it is painted expect 4-6 weeks but bare metal throttle bodies are in stock and ready to ship. There is an option to add a prepaid label and the box we send can be reused. You will not get a CEL with a ported throttle body upgrade unless you have a "weak" MAF.

VMAX CNC Spiral Ported Throttle Body (LS3, L99 & LS7)

Is there a way to tell which MAF you have with the part number? I wrote down a bunch of numbers off mine when I installed my CAI and I want to be sure I have a strong one. I'm away from my car currently that's why I ask instead of just being able to pull it again and check.

No, the only reliable method is the one described in the opening post.
