Yesterday, I dropped my girlfriend off to get her hair cut and then ran some errands while I waited on her to be done. Parked the car downtown on a busy street. When I came back 45 minutes later, someone had poured soda on the front of my car. Not a ton, but enough to make me angry. Luckily I carry detail spray and a microfiber cloth in the trunk, so i wiped it down and cleaned it, so no damage done, but how ridiculous! It was more on the front bumper and ran down the front fascia and into the engine bay. Was someone just stupid and mean or jealous? With ll the other cars I have owned, I have never had anyone do anything like this....I just don't get it!

The pics were with my phone so they are not great and I wanted to get the stuff cleaned...but...arrrrrgh! Wish I could catch someone doing that to anyone's car!

Hard to believe someone would be jealous enough to do that (although your ride is pretty BA. Love the blue on white better than all the orange on white I see.) I'd go with stupidity. Probably an accident, but who knows. Good to hear it all came off just fine.

I'm still trying to figure out what's with the hordes of pterodactyls that apparently live near me. Not sure if it's jealousy or stupidity, but SOMETHING drives them to endlessly defecate massive--- MASSIVE--- quantities of birdsquirt all over my always- freshly- washed and often- freshly- waxed Camaro.

My feelings regarding birds have deteriorated significantly since taking possession of this vehicle.

coulda just tripped, spilled some and been too inconsiderate to wipe it off, which may have workjed out 'cus if they had some abrasive paper towels, coulda scratched the paint a li'l.

on a side note, i love how everybody on this board swears everybody is so jealous and that's the root of all of their behavior. some people are just thoughtless, inconsiderate, careless and above all, generally not nice people. the same things probably happen to owners of all makes and models.

....Just chalk it up to another reason why you carry your cleaner spray and towels...

If you didn't see anybody do it maliciously, forget about it and move on...

It used to be when you saw something nice, you admired it and/or aspired to get your own. Today, when you see something nice and you can't have it, it must be vandalized.

I know how you feel my car has been keyed twice, I've been verbally insulted for having the car, it's like people get pissed someone else has something nice. It's sad

True, my previous car was all but wrecked by drunk and reversing neighbors. but before the camaro I've never been screamed at for having a nice car. it's like certain things trigger the afthole in people,

i would say you are lucky. honestly if someone was like this was by your car. luckily they didn't do more.

I was just venting...I have moved on, but knew people here would understand. I would chalk it up to an accident, but only the right side of the hood had soda on it, yet the entire bumper had soda all over it...so either the person carefully had an accident or it was poured. I am glad my car was white so I could see it quickly and I am thankful they did not pour it on my convertible top. All in all, I was just shocked as it is not uncommon to see really nice cars on this street. I have seen Aston Martins, Ferrari's, Mercedes, BMW, etc, etc parked on this street...

As much as I wanted one and think they are awesome, I somewhat sort of stayed away from getting a convertible partly because they just seem more "vulnerable" or "fragile" when left unattended...just sayin'...

Probably both. Hate to see threads like this. I've made a couple of them! I've had beer, red velvet cake, and either beer or pop all poured or smeared on separate occasions for absolutely no reason. Good to see it was easily cleaned off.

Yeah! It must be the shape of this car. D*mn birds always sit on my Victory Red SS's side mirrors and unload when she's parked at work. I've tried moving, changing parking directions.... nothing. The thing still finds me! It's gotta be a cardinal or something.....

I acutally think it may be in part that it appears to be a "gas guzzler" or that it's an "American" car....two topics a lot of people think they have a right to "bash"...dunno
