Hex Vent Install

So I Just got a brand new hood and paint job. I was a little nervous to do this myself but I took My time and it was pretty easy. They have hands down the best install instructions and video of any product I've ever installed. This won't be a how to because they've covered everything.

I wrapped my saw horses pretty well I can be a bit clumsy.

I was taking the hood off by myself so I taped rags to the edges to prevent scratches.

Hood off, it's not heavy but I wouldn't recommend trying it yourself unless you've got above average, or as I refer to it "Squirrel Strength"

Taped it up, per recommendation I did it twice, glad I did. The jig jumped at one point but didn't scratch the hood through the tape. I also taped the edges to prevent other scrapes.

Taking the pad off, pretty simple I have a trim tool you probably don't need one.

Mark on the inside the flip trace and cut, simple as that.

I'm really impressed with how they came out. Two things I've noticed, there's no doubt my engine is running cooler and it already feels a little more stable at speed. It'll be another month or so before I do any top speed runs and can read out on improvments.

I think this has replaced the side view markers as best cost effective cosmetic install.

First time at the strip since the install. Really helped with heat. No doubt the car was running cooler and cooled down a little quicker when we were running back to back and staging.

I must say you inspired me along with TRC. Getting ready to purchase the TR3 vents and the Hex vents as seen on TRC ride. My local shop is going to install both for $225. Thought that was a great deal!! Looks like I need to have the TR3 painted IOM though first

Quick question, do you think they will be unsafe in the rain? I really want something that will help cool down my car but can't take the chance with rain since mine is a daily driver
