Yet another lifter thread

2010 ss A6. lifter noise at cold start about 25% of the time. ive heard all the excuses in the book. im no dummy when it comes to motors and would consider myself on the higher end of an amateur wrencher. i know lifter noise when i here it. dealer is telling me its the injectors. i laughed and walked out of their office. the "ticking" reacts with the engine RPM and is coming from the passenger side and as you all know will go away after a while. fact of the matter is, its pretty much a brand new car and any issues like this should be resolved from the manufacturer without hesitation. this is the 2nd time ive sent it to the dealer for lifter noise. i wish dealers around here would just quit being lazy and fix the problem. any other suggestions?? im running out of cards to play thanks

I beleive someone in this forum changed the transmission fluid (not sure what he used) and his lifter noise went away.
If I find the thread I'll link it.

I found it, he changed the oil filter. It's worth a try. Here's the link. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ifters+changed

Mine has been doing this from day one and I had it to 2 different dealers who say it is fine. I put a supercharger and headers and CAI with a exhaust on and It is alot more noticeable now. I have read about using Delco oil filter instead of the Mobil ! filter and I think that is bullshit. I will try it and see what happens. Chevy neesd to admit that this is a problem and fix it. I know of 5 other people with the same problems.
