I dont know about the 2012s... im looking for an exhaust also possible the mrt v2 but there are some videos on youtube of them. They sound pretty nice im just worried about the piece that makes the drone go away, if it breaks then what?

Dynomax VT
I have the Dynomax VT axle back on my 2010 and I love the sound.
As for the valve it has a lmited lifetime warranty for the original owner of the vehicle it was installed on. The system is made of stainless steel. They also offer a 90 day return if you do not like the sound or performance. There is a $75.00 rebate until 5/30. I orderd mine through American Muscle for $375.00 with free shipping. |

it is $446.99 on here but with the $75 rebate its gonna be $372. It says 2010-2011 but it will fit the 2012. I called and asked them.

What "piece" makes the drone? I imagine the system makes any drone, this is an exle back system? That system sounds good to me, not too loud thanks for the video. What/where/price? Thanks |

Dynomax VT
I like the VT it is not loud unless you get on the throttle.
Won't draw attention unless you want to. No drone at cruising speed actually quieter than the factory exhaust. The system is made of stainless Steel and has a limited lifetime warranty. Has a deep tone no high pitching or popping at all. The video does not do the sound justice, have to hear in person. |

I just ordered a Dynomax VT system for my LFX from Advanced Auto Parts.
They have free shipping, plus $50 off instantly (it said 15% off but it took off $50, a little less), plus the Dynomax rebate of $75, plus a $50 coupon off my next order! My net cost will be $338. You cant beat that! !! Cant wait, should have it in a week, looks pretty simple to install, I ordered part number 38493 per the Dynomax website. Check it out. http://www.dynomax.com/application_i...l-engine-38493 http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...content=value4 Last edited by Henry G.; 06-06-2012 at 07:34 PM. |

I will too.
With the radio on, I can't even hear the car. This should be the best of both, no drone, good sound, and a few ponies to boot. The Ultra flows were a 16hp/21 ft lbs of torque improvement per Dynomax, but nothing posted for the standard VT's. If anyone finds the stats pls post them. With a straight thru design with the VT's valve, I would think it would be close to that for them. |

Thanks Tow but that is, I believe the Ultra flow specs as I posted, not the VT with the valve. The Ultra flow does not appear to have the valve, which eliminates the drone sound.

Cool!! Eventually I will get a catch can and CAI, hoping for about 20-30 more hp total and a car that sounds as cool as it looks.
Heres a youboob video from the 2010 SEMA show where a Dynomax guy explains how the muffler works: Last edited by Henry G.; 06-07-2012 at 07:18 PM. |
